Black Nintendo Wii For Japan In Summer

When Nintendo first showed of the Wii to the public, the graphics showed the console in multiple colours including white, black, green and red.
Obviously the Wii only launched in white and it has remained that way since 2006. That is all about to change as Japan will be getting the black Wii pictured above, this summer. Sales in Japan have been falling recently so we imagine this announcement is to help boost sales in the region.
There is no news of whether other colours will be released elsewhere but we imagine it will only be a matter of time, maybe when sales start dropping in the west.

Pricing of the hardware is as follows:
Black Wii Remote ¥3,800 (US$40)
Black Nunchaku ¥1,800 (US$19)
Black Classic Controller Pro ¥2,000 (US$21)
