Capcom Sales & Future Plans

Even though Monster Hunter Tri sold over a million, it couldn’t help Capcom’s profits fall by over 70%. Interestingly the developers have 16 games planned for DS and 6 for Wii. Good news.
- Monster Hunter Tri totaled 1.15 million in Japan
- Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles totaled 600,000
- “Consumer Online Games” business is estimated to pull in ¥71,500 million, and a jump in operating profits for this sector to ¥15,300 million
- 75 games due out this year
- 20 million pieces of software sold (estimate)
- Capcom sold 5.2 million pieces of software in Japan in 2010
- Capcom expects 7.5 million units of software sold in NA for 2011, 7 million in Japan, and 5 million in Europe
- Capcom has 16 titles planned for the DS, and are hoping to sell 1.7 million units of software
- Capcom has 6 titles for Wii planned, and are hoping to sell 1.6 million units of software
- Capcom aiming for a 65% overseas sales ratio
- “Unified Wii development”
- increase in digital software and downloads for retail games
