Fire Emblem Remake Coming To DS

Another strangely-timed Nintendo announcement following the random Nintendo 3DS announcement comes today’s revelation of a remake in the Fire Emblem series. Good news indeed!

This remake is of Fire Emblem: Monshou no Nazo Hikari to Kage no Eiyuu (Mystery of the Emblem: Hero of Light and Shadow), however it is unclear whether the game will retain the same title for the DS revision.

The following is a message from the official Fire Emblem website:

“It’s been 20 years since the first Fire Emblem game was born. We’ve told the story of a number of heroes. We feel that you the player, who lead and supported [those heroes] are shadow heroes.”
