Japan’s ‘New Play Control’ Titles Hit in June

The latest Nintendo ‘Wiimakes’ have been announced for Japan.release. The new titles in question are Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and the under-performing Chibi-Robo! As you will already know, the New Play Control titles take classic old Gamecube games and give them a new lease of life on the Wii with added motion controls.

Most will be familiar with Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, however less will be used to Chibi-Robo’s cleaning gameplay! The game has you in control of a tiny robot who is a enslaved by the the Sanderson family. You must become the best Chibi-Robo ever completing tasks for your family and earning ‘Happy Points’. Yes it sounds terrible and doesn’t even look that great either but don’t let that put you off playing this charming little gem when it is (inevitably) released in the West.

Both titles are out in Japan in June 2009.
