After Dan Teasdale of Harmonix unofficially let slip that Lego Rock Band was on its way at this months Game Developers Conference, the company have now officially announced the project as a mulit-platform title (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, DS). Hit the jump for more details.
The game is being developed by TT Games with Harmonix overseeing the project. You will be able to customize your “mini figure avatars” as well as your road crew and manager!
The full track listing has not been disclosed yet but we do know some of the tracks to be included which are:
- Blur – “Song 2″
- Carl Douglas – “Kung-Fu Fighting”
- Europe – “The Final Countdown”
- Good Charlotte – “Boys and Girls”
- Pink – “So What”
Henrik Taudorf Lorensen of the LEGO Group had this to say:
“LEGO Rock Band is built around the same values of imagination and family-friendly creative role play that is present in other LEGO videogames. It will deliver innovative new elements of game play that complement the fun of the Rock Band experience.”
It will be interesting to see how this holds up compared to the Beatles version later this year.
