Rising Star’s part strategy, part RPG, part life sim is due out first in Europe on April 24th. The title known for a long time only as Project O, seems to have been a long time coming. Has the increasing enthusiasm from gamers been warranted? Read more to see what Edge thought.

Little King’s Story has been developed with a very experienced crew including all-star names Yasuhiro Wada (Harvest Moon), Yoshiro Kimura (Harvest Moon & Chulip), Youichi Kawaguchi (Dragon Quest VIII) and Hideo Minaba (FFXII). Edge’s opionion of whether they succeeded with their project.

Perhaps the game’s greatest achievement, is a constant focus on you, the player, delicately changing the world as your kingdom expands. Every moment feels like it’s been lavished with attention; Little King’s Story is as rich as it is long, and it’s a very lengthy game indeed. Its central mechanic is unique, its world unlike any other, and its completion a Herculean task. It’s a game of rare quality, and exactly what the Wii deserves. It’s a true original.9/10
