Monster Hunter 3

Dragon Quest IX on DS became the tenth game of all time to receive a perfect score of 40/40 from Japanese gaming bible Famitsu last month. That figure is now eleven as four reviewers have just awarded Wii sword-a-thon ‘Monster Hunter 3 (Tri)‘ 10, 10, 10 and 10 too.

Out of interest the first game ever to score a maximum with Famitsu was ‘Zelda: Ocarina Of Time‘ way back in 1998 so they have averaged a 40/40 score once a year. Nintendo having a perfect score on both of their consoles so far this year is good going. Let’s hope there’s more to come!

Over to Famitsu:

The maps and monsters have been completely remade, making things fresh … The classic Monster Hunter feel grabs you the more you play. Old and new mix equally here, and it’s been refined, deepened, and brought to unimaginable heights.”
