Nintendo Boasts Euro Records
Nintendo of Europe have their gloating cap on again, this time declaring that the Nintendo DS has sold over 40 million units on the continent. It has taken less than five years to hit that milestone, which makes it the fastest selling piece of gaming hardware too.
The DS’s big brother, the Wii, has also made some serious cash with 20 million machines moved in just over three years.
In the six or so months since Wii Sports Resort was released, the game has sold over 5 million copies (must be time for another Wii MotionPlus enabled game then eh, Nintendo?) and New Super Mario Bros. on Wii has sold over 2.5 million.
That’s some impressive figures right there!
