The next in the Bit.Trip series is “Bit.Trip Runner” and here’s some new footage to see how well the game is coming along at Gaijin Studios.
We’re fans of the old-school retro look to these games and this one doesn’t dissappoint either. Gameplay-wise this is more like “Cananbalt” on the iPhone compared to the last couple of shooters that we’ve had before.

Destructoid managed to sneak the first screenshot of the latest in the ‘Bit.Trip‘ series titled ‘Bit.Trip RUNNER‘. As you can see it looks like Gaijin Games latest creation could be in the form of a platformer, in fact it reminds us of a cross between Super Paper Mario and Starfox! However nothing has been confirmed so don’t take what we say for granted, though judging by the name and the ‘World 2-02′ on the screenshot, we are hedging our bets the ‘Bit.Trip’ series is taking a new turn for the third game.
We’ll find out later this year so keep your eyes peeled here for some new info soon.
