The latest trailer for ‘Red Steel 2‘ shows the the lawless desert western-style town of Caldera which is situated in the games playing area known as the ‘Red West’. Of course there are many other areas to play in the game as developer Jason Vandenberghe points out.
“But of course. The whole story takes place in and around the city of Caldera, and there’s a lot of different kinds of environments in that place. Ancient temples, ramshackle slums, desert, huge modern freight-moving systems… it’s a real city. Then you’ll roll on out into surrounding canyons, where you’ll find a pueblo-style mining town, a huge semi-automated strip mine, old, abandoned underground tunnels, an ancient ancestral monastery / temple clinging to the side of a cliff…”

Vooks managed to grab an interview with Scribblenauts developer 5th Cell in which they talk about various aspects and challenges they faced in developing the game.
Vooks: Where did you draw the line at what would be included in the game? Obviously swear words and trademarks are out, but where does it just get ridiculous?
JMT: I think we paused once while going through a list of chemical formulas, but then just continued on. Chlorinated Diphenyl Oxide anyone? We put everything in, miniscule or not, and while I’m sure there are a few obscure words we missed, we never passed on a word that fit the nothing vulgar / copyrighted / trademarked / proper noun criteria.

We caught up with Gamelion to find out more about their highly anticipated platformer and what players can expect from the game.
