ATLUS TO BRING NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: DRAGON BLADE CHRONICLES FOR WiiTM AND NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: NARUTO VS. SASUKE FOR NINTENDO DSTM TO NORTH AMERICA THIS HOLIDAY SEASON; SPECIAL BUNDLES AND BONUS ITEMS REVEALED
IRVINE, CALIFORNIA – AUGUST 24, 2010 – Atlus U.S.A., Inc. today announced that they have reached agreement of distribution with Tomy Corp., the licensee of Nintendo platforms in US, Canada, Latin and South America from VIZ Media for NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Dragon Blade Chronicles for WiiTM and NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Naruto vs. Sasuke for Nintendo DSTM. These two chapters in the NARUTO SHIPPUDEN franchise, based on the extremely popular anime series, are currently scheduled for release on November 16, 2010. Over the next few weeks certain retailers will offer special bundles, pre-order bonus items, and gifts-with-purchase for the games, making them perfect gifts for the holiday season.

The popular PC and iPhone game, Plants vs Zombies has been officially announced for DS and here’s the first details. It’s a perfect fit for DS I reckon and though it’s not confirmed for DSiWare, that’s probably where it’ll end up.

Nintendo seem happy with July’s NPD data, though they are unlikely to say otherwise, even if Xbox outsold both DS and Wii individually.
Nintendo Sells More Than 650,000 Hardware Units in the U.S. in July
Nintendo sold more than 650,000 video game systems in July – more than any other company – according to the independent NPD Group, which tracks sales of video game products in the United States. The Nintendo DS™ family of systems sold nearly 400,000 in July, and Nintendo’s Wii™ console marked its 45th consecutive month of more than 250,000 units sold with July sales of nearly 254,000. These tallies bring the 2010 U.S. sales totals through the end of July for Nintendo DS to more than 3.4 million and Wii to more than 2.71 million.
Five of the top 10 best-selling games of July play on Nintendo systems. These include Super Mario Galaxy™ 2 for Wii at No. 4 with more than 192,000 sold, LEGO® Harry Potter™: Years 1-4 for Nintendo DS at No. 5 with nearly 142,000 sold, LEGO® Harry Potter™: Years 1-4 for Wii at No. 7 with more than 133,000 sold, DRAGON QUEST IX®: Sentinels of the Starry Skies™ for Nintendo DS at No. 8 with more than 132,000 sold and New Super Mario Bros.™ Wii at No. 9 with more than 128,000 sold.

IRVINE, CALIFORNIA – Atlus U.S.A., Inc. today announced that 101-in-1 Sports MegamixTM for Nintendo DSTM, a collection of one hundred and one addictive sports mini-games that anyone can enjoy, has scored a new release date of September 7, 2010. The game features a wide assortment of all-time favorites like bowling, boxing, volleyball, tennis, basketball and unique sports some may not recognize right away, such as caber tossing, traction kiting, capoeira, street luge, and more! There is practically no end to the fast-paced sports action!
“Do you know how hard it is to fit 101 different sports games on a single cartridge?” asked an out-of-breath Aram Jabbari, Manager of Public Relations and Sales. “We had a hundred of them lined up and ready for the crammage process until someone said, ‘Where’s the 101th sport?’ and we suddenly realized it had run away. It made sense, seeing as how it was one of the track and field games. We can’t cram until we have them all, so it’ll take a little more time, but cram we will, I can promise you that.”
N-Space have added some new details about the semi-remake of Goldeneye DS to their blog and here’s the scoop.
