Basically it shows of world map areas of the game.

FFCC: TCB is certainly looking good though we doubt it will sell quite as well as the recently launched FF: XII!
All I hope for is that it is a deeper game than the Gamecube Crystal Chronicles which I thought was a massive let down.

After a severe lack of news for ‘Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers‘ since being announced three years ago, Nintendo Power have recently had time with the latest build. The game has gone through some major changes with a new emphasis on the single player campaign, a new hero as well as a “stylish” motion controls and even a new logo!
But is it any good I hear you cry? Well, yes, according to Nintendo Power:
The second ‘Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles‘ game for WiiWare is very different to the first. ‘My Life As A Dark Lord‘ is more of a twist on the tower defence genre and has you playing as the bad guy as you can see in the official English trailer above.
We’ll have more on this nearer release.

If the Square-Enix ad in the June editiion of Nintendo Power is to be believed, it seems ‘Final Fantasy IV: The After Years’ will be launching on WiiWare on June 1st.
Not much is known about FF IV: TAY but it was originally released in Japan as a mobile phone game where it has been a great success selling over three million copies.
The game focuses mainly on Ceodore, the son of Final Fantasy IV heroes Cecil and Rosa. He is ably supported by a host of familiar faces from the original cast who star in this series of additional tales.
Let’s hope that this news also signals Square-Enix’s intent to bring the original FF: IV to Virtual Console though at the time of writing this is not the case.
We will keep you updated on all Final Fantasy news so keep one eye on nin-ten-do.com. In the mean time you can check the FF IV: The After Years website for little more.
Here is footage of the Square Enix developed follow-up to last years WiiWare launch title FFCC: Mt Life As A King. That’s all!

The game that started Squaresoft’s (now Square Enix) hugely popular RPG franchise back in 1987 – Final Fantasy – is being released on the Japanese Virtual Console in May, Nintendo announced.
The game was originally developed for the Famicom (NES) by producer Hironobu Sakaguchi. It was then later published by Nintendo for release in North America in 1990. Since then the franchise has grown to over thirteen titles, in addition to the many spin-offs over multiple consoles.
Famicom Wars will also see release in the same month in Japan, both priced 500 Nintendo points. No news as yet on a western release however!

The new Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers (phew!) Japanese website has launched courtesy of SquareEnix and along with it comes some nice new screens of the game from Japanese gaming bible Famitsu. Read more…
