At last the long awaited Furry Legends has a release date for North America – July 19th, that’s Monday. This is taken from Gamelion’s official Twitter page.
Finally!!! Furry Legends for WiiWare will be released in America next Monday, July 19th, 2010 – Europe and Australia will follow very soon.
Yep, after just recently being delayed for release in NA, Gamelion have officially announced that gamers in Europe, Australasia and other PAL regions will be playing the long-awaited WiiWare title from July 16th. Let’s hope it’s been worth the wait and is as good as it looks! We’ll find out soon enough.

Sunnyvale, CA – July 6, 2010 – Today, Gamelion Studios announced that the highly anticipated physics-based 3D puzzle-platformer “Furry Legends” will be launched on WiiWareTM in Europe, Australia and New Zealand on July 16th, 2010 for 1000 Wii PointsTM.
About Furry Legends
In “Furry Legends” players take control of characters who are best described as a furry ball. “Furry Legends” will feature a couple of unique characters, each with its unique powers, allowing the player to perform various moves depending on the character selected. Players will be able to roll, jump, bounce, attack and perform other various moves with their spherical character. Gamelion aims to please both casual and hardcore crowds, with easy to pick up and hard to master gameplay, as well as brilliant, full 3D graphics packed with detail and a healthy dose of humor. The game features controls taking advantage of the Wii RemoteTM as well as a robust physics system, which will be used to solve different puzzles player might roll into.

We’ve not heard anything about this for a while so it’s good to see it’s still on track and the release date has been set for July 5th for 1000 Nintendo points on WiiWare.

Nintendo’s WiiWare service has gone from strength to strength since it launched over a year ago, though admittedly the launch line-up was pretty weak, since then the overall quality of games has improved and this trend looks certain to continue with upcoming games such as ‘Icarian: Kindred Spirits‘, ‘FF CC: My Life As A Dark Lord‘, ‘Tales Of Monkey Island‘ and of course Gamelion’s ‘Furry Legends‘.
We caught up with Gamelion to find out more about their highly anticipated platformer and what players can expect from the game.
