monster-hunter-3

Gamestop have a juicy pre-order demo bonus for Capcom’s upcoming “Monster Hunter 3” to get you in the mood of slaying some big badass monsters. There was also alimited number available from their website, however don’t try and get one now as they’ve already all gone.

“Nice work on getting people pumped! But, unfortunately, we had limited quantities of the [Monster Hunter Tri] demo (as was stated in the “Rewards” section). So since we’ve reached our limit, we removed the icon for now. To make sure others get the demo, it would be best to direct them to a GameStop store. Keep your eyes peeled though, as we have another item for the “Rewards” section in the coming weeks.” – Capcom employee

Not so good news for European gamers unfortunately as they are once again feeling the end of the shaft by not getting the demo at all! Capcom try to explain this below and while the US version of the demo wouldn’t work in PAL consoles, a PAL version would. No excuse Capcom.

“To clarify things, the demo of Monster Hunter 3 will not be available to players outside the United States and Canada. For a simple reason, this demo is not playable on the Nintendo Wii from other regions. ” – Capcom statement

Meanwhile Christian Svensson from Capcom have stated the game should see a massive marketing push for its release. See what he has to say after the jump. Read more…

Gamestop Sale

If you live in North America (or UK) and like gaming – we mean cheap gaming, then you might want to head to your local Gamestop to pick up a few bargains. Or if you’re lazy like me log onto the global-hyper-mega-web and click away.

The chain are having a clearout of titles accross all formats and generally include those that haven’t sold that well, with a few duds thrown in for good measure. Don’t get those.

A few highlights are ‘Guitar Hero: World Tour (Band Kit)‘ at $90, ‘House of the Dead 2 & 3′ for $20 and ‘De Blob’ for a measly $18 but there are thousands to choose from. Go get!

You can see them here and the promotion ends August 2nd.

Muramasa Pre Order Scroll

It is well known that Japan gets the best gaming goodies, limited editions and pre-order bonuses, while the rest of the world generally drool with gealousy. ‘Muramasa: The Demon Blade’ for example came with a very tasty five-foot scroll of stage and character art which we had down as just another Japanese exclusive.

It turns out that this time around, courtesy of Gamestop, U.S. customers who pre-order the game prior to the  September 1st release date (not confirmed) will get the exact same scroll. Only the exact same scroll may be slightly different as we cannot tell what is on the back but hey it’s coming in some shape or form!

Good news all round, but no news on a European or Australian scroll just yet.

Keep your toes crossed!

Thanks Joystiq
