In our opinion 2009 was quite a poor year for Nintendo’s first party offerings. While there were titles such as ‘Super Punch Out‘, ‘Excitebots‘ and ‘Wii Ft Plus‘, with the exception of ‘New Super Mario Bros. Wii‘ there was not much to shout about, especially for the core crowd calling out for in-depth first party titles. The 2009 releases hardly stood up to older Nintendo classics like ‘Zelda: The Ocarina Of Time‘, ‘Super Mario 64‘ or even ‘Mario Kart‘. Ok, so the ‘Metroid Prime Trilogy’ is excellent but considering they are old games, they do not count!
Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata even claimed himself that the decline in Wii hardware in 2009 was mainly due to a lack of quality software and even though Reggie Fils-Aime would probably shoot down these comments, if he took away his corporate façade, even he would probably agree that 2009 was a weak year for Nintendo software.
All is not lost! We are now in a new year, new decade even and 2009 is history. With that in mind, let’s hope Nintendo have a stronger showing of software this year and with our most wanted list below, we’re sure you’ll agree things are looking rosier already.

So what does Suda 51 of Grasshopper Manufacture have new in store for us with ‘No More Heroes 2: Deperate Struggle’?
Well for starters the game has a more serious feel to it, Travis Touchdown is looking like he’s matured and is wielding two Beam Katanasas shown in these screens. Also the game introduces a new assassin ‘Nathan Copeland’ to spice things up a little.
More at E3 next week. Head inside for more screens and video! Read more on No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle Media…
