This news may hardly come as a surprise but may make some Star Wars or Lego fans happy. You’re definitely in luck if you like both!
LucasArts have revealed the next in the Lego Star Wars saga, this time we will be battling toy Star Wars figures in the Clone Wars.
Is the Lego video game formula getting a bit tired now? We think it might be. Let’s hope they bring something fresh and new to the gameplay with this release otherwise the series could be threatened from going stale.
Full press release after the break.
Everyone’s favourite pirate, no not Jack Sparrow, but Guybrush Threepwood is making his return to WiiWare this Monday July 27th in the U.S.
Episode 1 of the new 5 part series entitled ‘Launch Of The Screaming Narwhals’ will set you back 1000 Nintendo points.
No news on a PAL release date yet but telltale games have promised details will be coming soon.
Or it may not! The producer of the Xbox Live re-make of the original Monkey Island has hinted that the game will come to another, unannounced console. We’ll hand you over to Craig Derrick to explain:
“Well, we never said we wouldn’t be on Wiiware or PSN now did we. The truth is, though, Xbox LIVE offers a great user experience and downloadable service to gamers and we think it’s a great platform to launch the game on. And, of course, the game will also be available on PC via digital download, plus we may have another platform announcement to make very, very soon.”
Keep your fingers crossed that the other platform he is talking about is Wii or DS. Though is it’s not atleast we have the excellent looking ‘Tales OF Monkey Island‘ series to look forward to.
Guybrush Threepwood will be returning in a new swash-buckling pirate adventure in a new Monkey Island series for WiiWare, simply titled ‘Tales of Monkey Island‘.
The game will be released in five chapters, probably in a similar fashion to the Strongbad WiiWare games and we’re sure this will make many people like me very happy indeed after playing the original LucasArts games on the Amiga for hours and hours trying to solve the cunning puzzles and fighting pirates with insults.
Bring it on!

Well, dated for Europe anyway. Activision told Eurogamer that Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings will be 12th June for Wii, DS, PSP and PS2. Expect news of a U.S release date to follow shortly.
In related news, it has become apparant that another of Harrison Ford’s famous characters, from Star Wars, Han Solo, will be a playable character in the new Indy game. While the characters are similar, you will be able to use Han Solo’s laser gun instead of a whip. View the first footage of Han in action over at the Star Wars website.
