We just posted some Japanese Metroid: Other M commercials and now here is a US one. Pretty good too!

Hooray! We finally get to see some new ‘Metroid: Other M‘ media. Got some screens here with video footage to follow. The game is out on June 27th in North America.
Head in side for the rest. Also the official Metroid website has been updated here.

Speaking recently to Famitsu, ‘Metroid: Other M‘ producer Yoshio Sakamoto said that Samus’ new adventure is progressing nicely. As the game is slated for release this year, that’s relief to hear!
“This project between three companies, which we call Project M, is progressing extremely well. This Metroid is being developed with the aim of the ideal form of the old Metroid. It’s a game that can be realized because of the Wii. However, different from the rest of the series, this time we’re strongly depicting the human side of Samus through such things as movies.”

The (Japanese) ‘Metroid: Other M‘ website has gone live and can be found over here. This is great news as not much, infact next to nothing, has been heard of the game from Nintendo or Team ninja since E3 last year so this is a sign that the game is coming along nicely! There’s not really that much on the website but have a look anyway, you know you want to!
Some new pieces of info coming from over there about ‘Metroid: Other M’ are:
- Metroid: Other M is the final name;
- As we already know, Team Ninja is working on the project;
- When you visit the site, a voice says “That Dream – it was like watching a playback of a tragedy that actually occurred.”;
- Piano plays in the background, scene fades but shows a woman, who may be Samus;
- Releasing in Japan this summer;
Sweet! This is a Nintendo collaboration with Tecmo’s Team Ninja, creators of Ninja Gaiden. The game is playable in third person this time rather than first person like the Metroid Prime trilogy.
