
Nintendo Refreshes the Dog Days of Summer with Upcoming Cool GamesDates Announced for New Kirby, Donkey Kong and Pokémon Games
REDMOND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– The summer is heating up, which means it’s a great time for Nintendo to announce some of the cool games it will have available in the coming months for its Wii™ home console and portable Nintendo DS™ family of systems.
“Everyone wants fun, engaging experiences, and they want great value,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “Nintendo games give you both. And no matter what your taste, you’ll find exclusive experiences that just aren’t available anywhere else.”
Some upcoming Wii games include Metroid™: Other M on Aug. 31, Samurai Warriors™ 3 on Sept. 27, Wii Party™ on Oct. 3, Kirby’s Epic Yarn™ on Oct. 17, PokéPark™ Wii: Pikachu’s Adventure on Nov. 1, FlingSmash™ on Nov. 7 and Donkey Kong Country™ Returns on Nov. 21. Some marquee third-party games include New Carnival Games® from 2K Play on Sept. 21, NBA JAM from EA Sports™ on Oct. 5, Just Dance® 2 from Ubisoft® on Oct. 12, GoldenEye 007™ from Activision Publishing, Inc. in November, Sonic Colors™ from SEGA on Nov. 16 and Disney Epic Mickey from Disney Interactive Studios this holiday season.

REDMOND, Wash., June 25, 2010 – Nintendo of America announces the appointment of a new senior vice president to spearhead the modernization of the company’s internal information systems. Ingvar Petursson has been hired as the senior vice president of Information Services. Effective July 19, Petursson will oversee all aspects of NOA’s Information Services functions, including enterprise applications development, enterprise infrastructure and risk management.
“Ingvar brings a wealth of information technology knowledge and experience to Nintendo,” said Jim Cannataro, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Administration. “He will be tasked with the multi-year project of modernizing our systems.”
Petursson most recently served as the senior vice president and CIO for Expedia, Inc., and also previously worked in lead IT roles at AT&T Wireless, Corbis Corporation and The Regence Group. His work experience before that also encompassed areas outside of IT, including international project finance and propulsion engineering. He earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.

We’ve already seen images of NOA’s new headquarters in Redmond after someone that wasn’t supposed to, posted them on the globalhypermeganet, but now the building has been officially opened we are able to show you some more pics. It seems Nintendo are still not that keen on showing the inside of the building unfortunately but there are some details below of their impressive new gaff.
