Rabbids 4

It seems Nintendo’s home console is losing third party support by the day. First was Capcom and Sega pledging most of their development budget towards Xbox 360 and PS3, now french developer Ubisoft have said the same thing.

“The fiscal year 2010-11 line-up will be more focused on the Xbox 360 and Playstation, the consoles which are expected to experience sustained sales growth in games for gamers in calendar 2010.”

I would imagine Nintendo are a little concerned about the current state of affairs and even though third party titles haven’t been selling as well on the Wii as most anticipated, the console has seen more than its fair share of shovelware. Add to this the laziness of developers (New Resident Evil on-rails shooter anyone or a new Resi 4 style adventure?) and it seems both Nintendo and third party developers are losing out. The fact that Ubisoft have at the same time just announced ‘Rabbids 4‘ speaks volumes.
