With Ubisoft being the kind of company that likes to capitalise on it’s popular franchises and erm… make lots of money, I’m surprised it’s taken this long for them to bring the Raving Rabbids to DS. Today Ubisoft announced exactly that, I’ll pass you over for them to explain:
“The Rabbids first comedy-adventure will take them to the moon or bust! Those crazy Rabbids have an infallible plan: collect all the human stuff they can find, heap it onto a giant pile and literally climb home to the moon. But not so fast! The Humans revolt, unleashing the Verminators whose only objective is to exterminate the Rabbids.”

Ubisoft have given the Rabbids a brand new engine for their next game while leaving the mini-games behind for a full-blown adventure. Don’t fear, all of your favourite Rabbids from Rayman Raving Rabbids will be making a return, just don’t expect to see Rayman himself anywhere in sight!
Early last month, Ubisoft officially announced ‘Rabbids Go Home’, a Wii exclusive that has been in development for two and a half years. The game that Ubisoft tagged as a “full-blown comedy adventure” is being developed by those behind beyond Good & Evil and King Kong.
The teaser footage above shows the typical mischievous goings on that you would expect from the Rabbids but Ubisoft are keeping the gameplay details (and footage) close to their chests for now. There’s not even anything to uncover at the Rabbids website. However with E3 just around the corner we’ll most likely have more on Rabbids Go home soon.
Keep your eyes peeled.
