So Nintendo have now wowed the crowds with the 3DS at E3 and as usual there are a hundred questions left unanswered. The usual speculation has begun and we have two interesting rumours surfaced about the 3DS.

The first is that Eurogamer is reporting that Nintendo are looking to launch the 3DS this year. In one territory at least (probably Japan) and that a worldwide release would occur “by early next year”. Of course delays for products in this industry are common but Nintendo themselves have said that the 3D wonder will be available before the end of this fiscal year ending March 2011.

Also according to Nikkei, 3DS gamers will be able to copy or install their games directly to the system memory and then choose which game they would like to play through the console’s main memory – much in the same way Virtual Console and WiiWare games are stated on the Wii menu. This will be useful as there will be no need to keep swapping cartridges when changing your game, however Nintendo haven’t confirmed this so it remains a rumour. The good news is that Nikkei have a good track record in the past from their rumours becoming reality so fingers crossed for this one!
