If the Square-Enix ad in the June editiion of Nintendo Power is to be believed, it seems ‘Final Fantasy IV: The After Years’ will be launching on WiiWare on June 1st.
Not much is known about FF IV: TAY but it was originally released in Japan as a mobile phone game where it has been a great success selling over three million copies.
The game focuses mainly on Ceodore, the son of Final Fantasy IV heroes Cecil and Rosa. He is ably supported by a host of familiar faces from the original cast who star in this series of additional tales.
Let’s hope that this news also signals Square-Enix’s intent to bring the original FF: IV to Virtual Console though at the time of writing this is not the case.
We will keep you updated on all Final Fantasy news so keep one eye on nin-ten-do.com. In the mean time you can check the FF IV: The After Years website for little more.
