USA Today have thrown up some new details for Rock Band 3, they are as follows:
- drums, lead and bass guitar, keyboards, lead vocals and two harmony vocals
- “With the introduction of keyboards, we get to bring a ton of amazing new music onto the platform, which will help feed the appetite for music for years to come.” – Alex Rigopulos, CEO of Harmonix
- 83 new songs
- “it’s hard to pick a favorite, but for The Doors to be making an appearance on Rock Band finally with their classic Break On Through, I love that one. And Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody is endlessly fun.” – Alex Rigopulos, CEO of Harmonix
- green, red, blue, yellow or orange notes to match with 5 corresponding keyboard keys
- authentic Pro mode : all 25 keys are used
- note highway shifts left and right to cover the correct keys
- keyboard also works as a MIDI keyboard
- two advanced guitar controllers that take advantage of the Pro mode
- one a full-sized, fully functional Fender guitar
- improved animations
- refined gameplay features
- drop in and out of games
- change instruments and difficulty settings without stopping songs
- easier-to-use song menu

If The Beatles aren’t your thing, then maybe Van Halen is. If that’s you then you might want to hit the link to find out if your favourite song has made the list in the upcoming Van Halen-fied Guitar Hero. Personally I’d rather wait for Guitar Hero 5.
Is anyone else starting to lose count of the number of Guitar Hero’s Harmonix are releasing? No, just me then.
GH:VH is set for a December release.
