There’s tons of living room fun to be had in the Shrek Forever After video game, which turns Shrek into a social and team experience that the whole family can enjoy. Players can join in on the action at any time in the co-operative multiplayer mode to form a team of up to four players. The game reunites fans with their favorite characters – Shrek, Fiona, Puss In Boots and Donkey. Together, teams can navigate through Shrek’s two realities while solving mind-bending puzzles, and fending off Rumplestiltskin’s army of bad guys. Shrek, Fiona, Puss In Boots, and Donkey, all have their own unique game skills that will come in handy to progress through the game. A single-player experience is also offered, which allows the player to switch between the four characters as needed at any time.

Shrek Forever After was developed for the console and PC platforms by XPEC and for Nintendo DS by Griptonite.
The game is available for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, Wii and the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system for a suggested retail price of $49.99 and Nintendo DS for the suggested retail price of $29.99 and PC for a suggested retail price of $19.99. This list was compiled based on more than 13,000 reader votes. Guinness World Records hosted a poll on their official website from January to August 2009, asking readers to choose their favorite video game franchise.

Guinness World Records Gaming Editor Gaz Deaves said, “Instead of asking developers, industry insiders and journalists to rank their favorite titles, we approached a different kind of expert: the players themselves! We are confident that this ‘top 50′ more accurately reflects the tastes of the average gamer and not just the critics.”

1. Halo
2. Call of Duty
3. The Legend of Zelda
4. Guitar Hero
5. Metal Gear
6. Super Mario Bros.
7. World of Warcraft
8. Gears of War
9. Super Smash Bros.
10. Grand Theft Auto

I’m surprsied Mario only made number 6!  The remaining other 40 are after the jump.
