Was the Japanese first-half sales data not enough for you? Do you enjoy crunching numbers? Good as there must be a lot of people in the U.K. looking to get fit as the ageing game/fitness program ‘Wii Fit‘ has topped the sales chart for the first half of 2009. In fact according to data released by ELSPA GfK-ChartTrack, Nintendo hold 4 of the top 5 software positions in the first half of the year.
Though we don’t have any hard numbers, we do know ‘Wii Play‘ takes second spot, ‘Mario Kart Wii‘ in third, ‘Professor Layton And The Curious Village‘ in fourth with ‘Killzone 2‘ taking fifth place.
The full top 10 is after the break.
Update - It seems there was a mistake from the company that sent out the data and Nintendo did not hold the top 4 spots at all! Wii Fit is still number one but Wii Play, Mario Kart and Professor Layton are further down the list.

If Wii Fit and EA Sports Active aren’t keeping you in shape, then Ubisoft may have the solution with their fitness game – ‘Your Shape‘.
The game is being developed with a full body motion-sensing camera similar to the Xbox 360 camera, Natal (though not so advanced). This will ensure that you are ‘placed in the game’ and is intended to harmonize the interactivity between you and the software by detecting your full body movements.
Your Shape is due for release later this year.
