Tecmo Enter The WiiWare Ring With Sumo Wrestling

Before the days of Ninja Gaiden, Tecmo developed a Sumo Wrestling game. It seems they are stepping back in time with ‘Suppari Oozumou Wii Heya’ for WiiWare.

The game vaguely translated to English as Slap Attack Sumo will be controlled by turning the wiimote sideways, ‘NES’ style.

Of course the idea is to fight one of the ten wrestlers out of the ring, then in between bouts play one of the  two mini-games – a practice mode and meal game where you stuff a sumo wrestler.

If you live in Japan the game is available now. There is currently no release date for the west and that is likely to remain that way, however stranger things have happened.
